Your session is almost here!

CAMERA READY
- HAIR My best advice for hair is to style it like you would for an important event. If you’re needing a fresh haircut, do so a week in advance of your session to give it time to relax & look natural (and to be sure you like it.)
- SKIN Take care of your skin well in advance of your session. Wash and moisturize your skin daily, exfoliate, wax eyebrows, even out tan lines, etc. Drink plenty of water. Guys, shave the day of your session if you want a clean-shaven look.
- NAILS Manicure if needed. Remove or repaint any chipped nail color before your session.
- MAKE UP Try to keep your makeup as natural for you as possible. You want to look like yourself! If you hire your favorite MUA or can pull off professional make up yourself, then go for it! If you normally wear little to no makeup, it is still a good idea to use some makeup to highlight your natural beauty. A little lip gloss and a little mascara will help you to look like yourself while showing off your natural beauty in your portraits.
- CLOTHING Iron or steam your outfits and hang on hangers for your session. If you have any new clothes, be sure you have removed size stickers. Finalize accessories and throw in any extras you might want. Have all necessities ready to go, including shoes, undergarments, etc.

SESSION DAY!
It's finally your senior session day! Before leaving for your session, eat a meal or snack. Brush teeth and touch up hair and make up if needed. Don't forget your ironed or steamed outfits, your shoes, your accessories, a comb or brush, and make up for retouches. During your session I want you to relax and enjoy yourself. I will help guide you through the entire session... no need to worry about how to "pose". Feel free to bring up any ideas you may have! My senior sessions are well thought out, but also laid back and fun. We will follow a schedule but change things up if and when we need to.
Now let's have some FUN!
After the Session

ORDERING APPOINTMENT
It is so exciting to see how awesome your images turn out! The week after your session I am busy curating a selection of the best images of you. As I am preparing your proofs for viewing, I will eliminate blinkers, outtakes, and duplicates and then give the best images a basic edit by adjusting the color and brightness, and straightening and cropping. Blemishes and distracting objects will not be removed in your proofs, but this will all be taken care of when retouching your ordered images.
Approximately one week after your session we will schedule your ordering appointment. This is a time when we meet at the studio to view your images and choose your favorites to order. It will be important that anyone involved in the order process be present. We will look through your gallery together and choose the images that you love. We will put together your portrait order at that time. When your favorite images are ordered and payment is received, I will fully retouch and prepare your portraits for print. Albums layouts will also be sent for approval before ordering. Social media files will be sent as soon as they are ready so you can share online.
Prints and Products
As your professional senior photographer, it is my goal to provide you with portraits you will enjoy throughout your senior year AND for generations to come. Printing your portraits beautifully on archival, professional prints is my top priority! Your print items will be meticulously prepared and inspected before delivery. From wall portraits to albums to grad cards and banners, there are so many ways to display and share your favorite images from your senior session. Of course digitals are popular too--and that's why every image ordered in print will come with its digital form as well!
