Now that you have booked a session date, the planning begins! Start by planning your outfits. Seniors are usually in one outfit for 20-30 minutes, so plan the number of outfits according to the length of your session. Your outfits should show off your personal style, but select a variety of things you might wear. I always suggest you find something classic and timeless and then something trendy as well. Maybe choose an every day look, a funky or trendy look, your sport/hobby uniform, or a more sophisticated look… The majority of your outfits should be appropriate for the temperatures, but be prepared for a turn in the weather. Solid colors are a good choice. Jewel tones or dark, earthy colors are usually best. Try to avoid bright, distracting colors. Layers and textures add more to your outfits too! And don’t forget the accessories! There is nothing that expresses unique style such as fun jewelry, scarves, hats, shoes, etc. Try on your outfits and be sure you love how they fit and look together.
As you plan for your session, you will want to think about the location(s) you prefer. Locations might include urban spots or a park-like setting. Or maybe you have a special place to include such as your own backyard or your high school stadium. I am happy to help with the best locations too! The number of locations will depend upon the session length you choose, but often times we can find many options within one location. Once we narrow down your ideal locations and outfits, the fun begins!
