I asked Emily what she loved about senior year and she said, "The freedom you get with choosing classes. A lot of the classes I couldn't wait to take were reserved for seniors, and I felt that I had a lot more freedom to choose and find classes I'd enjoy taking instead of just being required to."
I love her advice for upcoming seniors: "Just enjoy it the best you can. Soak in all the remaining time as a high schooler with your friends, your family, and your colleagues (if you like them). Senior year goes by way too fast to not find something to enjoy before stepping off into post-secondary plans."
Such a beautiful, talented senior Emily is! I had such a great time photographing her and hanging out with Emily and her mom for the afternoon. I wish her all the best as she pursues an open major and ASL minor at the University of Iowa next year!
